This Special Guest Panel event will feature some outstanding recent honours recipients from across the UK who will share their stories and experience of receiving an award, along with their thoughts on increasing the number of diverse nominations and the honours system in general.

The Event will be Chaired by Sue Gray, the Second Permanent Secretary at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Our Panelists for this event include:

  • Mel B MBE, Spice Girls Star and Womens Aid Patron
  • Derrick Evans MBE ‘Mr Motivator’, Fitness Instructor and Television Personality
  • Jay Blades MBE, Furniture Restorer and TV Presenter
  • Kirsty Murphy MBE, First and only female red arrows pilot and Chief of staff for the UK Space Agency
  • Riaz Ravat BEM DL, Deputy Director of St Phillip’s Centre and member of the Public Services Honours Committee

This event is for everyone interested in the honours system and is being hosted by the Cabinet Office.
