Felicia Kwaku has been a nurse for many years and supports many charities in Africa as well as being Chair of the Chief Nursing Officers Black and Minority Ethnic Strategic Advisory Group (CNO BME SAG). Her impact while chair of the CNO BME is immeasurable, supporting nurses from an ethnic minority background and delivering webinars which reached thousands of nurses at a time when they felt vulnerable, scared and worried. She has championed the cause for Filipino nurses who were being disproportionately affected by the Covid 19 virus. She supported individual nurses and managers as well as members of the community who were worried about the potential impact of Covid 19 on them and their families. She received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2020.
