John Binns MBE, Mental Health Champion, London. For services to Mental Health

Following a period of depression, John Binns used his senior position at Deloitte to speak out about his own experience and the need for businesses to change the way they approach supporting staff with mental health issues. He developed the Mental Health Champions programme for the company which saw a number of partners trained to help colleagues who may be suffering with the symptoms of health or depression. He has gone on to champion the cause in the wider business community, supporting the formation of the City Mental Health Alliance and is a board member for Mind. He has started his own company, Fit4Success which advises companies on mental health and wellbeing. John was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2017.
