Nicolette Peel MBE, Co-founder and lately Chair of Trustees, Mummy’s Star and Midwife, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. For services to Women with Cancer during Pregnancy

Nicolette Peel started her career as a midwife in 2013 at the University of Salford, winning the Best Academic Achievement in Nursing & Midwifery for her cohort. She developed cancer shortly after the birth of her third child and was put in contact, by her own midwife, with a mother who was diagnosed with developed breast cancer during her pregnancy, and cared for her, though she sadly died. She co-founded the first charity of its kind to support women and their families with cancer during pregnancy and beyond. Mummy’s Star was launched in 2013, supporting pregnant women with cancer. She received a MBE in the New Year Honours List 2020.
