“Our day at the Palace was very very special for me and my family. It was a real privilege to meet the other recipients and their families and to hear the diversity of the work that they have been recognised for – a real cross section of the great work that real people do in the UK. I was deeply honoured and touched to be in their company and to receive my award from HRH Prince Charles – wonderful! A huge thank you to my former colleagues who supported my work and continue to deliver inspirational experiences at National Museums Liverpool. This award will spur me on to do more and contribute to my community through volunteering – to give a little back.”
